Viewing Session Type
Refers to how content is being viewed i.e. via broadcast TV live or playback (Time Shift) or via BVOD live or on demand (VOD), or combined as Total TV.
Broadcast TV viewing session types:
- Live: viewing of a program at the time of the original broadcast
- As Live: viewing of a program on the same research day but after the time of the original broadcast
- Overnight: Live + As Live viewing
- Time Shift: viewing of a recorded program after the broadcast day but within 7 (or up to 28 days later)
- Playback: As Live + Time Shift viewing
- Consolidated: Live + As Live + Time Shift (7 or 28) viewing
BVOD viewing session types:
- Live: viewing of content as a live linear stream via networks BVOD (internet delivered) service on any connected device.
- VOD (or On Demand): networks BVOD internet delivered content watched at a time the viewer chooses (on demand) on any connected device.
