Audience

The audience to any program or time band represents the average number of people in a target demographic viewing at any given minute during that period.

It is calculated as:
(Total amount of viewing to the program or time band) ÷ (Length of the program or time band)
The result is expressed as an absolute number.

An audience result relates to a specific viewing type:

·         Total TV Audience is the viewing by people via broadcast TV and/or via BVOD.

·         Broadcast TV Audience is the viewing by people via broadcast TV to television sets.

·         BVOD Audience is the viewing by people via BVOD live and on demand to any connected device.

Audience is also referred to as Projections.
